HAPPY DECEMBER

Check your grades and any missing work on Skyward.


School Geography Bee: January 9th.


Christmas Program for Parents: December 22, at 9:00 AM. Students should wear a white, red, or green t-shirt, a red Santa hat, and a pair of sunglasses.

School Christmas Sing-a-long: December 23, at 9:00 AM. Students should wear the same the costume they wore for the parents' program.

Homework:

Planner signed EVERY day.
Read 20 minutes every day (or 100 minutes per week).

Language Arts:  (Always bring a red pen to class.)
Memorize Poem: "A Candle In The Night." Due: Wednesday, December 17. 100 Points. Remember to practice it Loud, Slow, and Clear.
String Art due on Monday, December 22.

Science:
A track:  No assignment.
C and D tracks:  Moon phases chart - due 12/22.
 
Reading/Spelling
All Tracks:
EDMODO Christmas Box Assignment #1: DUE DECEMBER 17

"After reading The Christmas Box novel, what do YOU think the first gift of Christmas is?"

*Please write 4-5 paragraphs (5 sentences each paragraph) for your answer.   Make sure that you use details and vivid descriptions.  Please start each sentence with a different word like you have practiced in Mrs. Packard's writing rotation.  Do NOT start a sentence with "because"!! 

If you are having a problem with Edmodo, please type your paper in a word document, then cut and paste it into Edmodo.  Good Luck!! 
A and C Track: No Spelling
D Track: No Spelling

Every Day: Do Reflex Math until you reach the green light.
A Track: 5-12 worksheet due 12/17.
C Track: Ch. 4 Review in your math book. Pages 159-160. Due: 12/18. Chapter 4 Test Thursday, December 18.
D Track: Wkst. 5-3 Due: 12/16.
Daily Times Test- Get them memorized!!!

Social Studies:  
Track:  22 a & b due 12/19.
C Track: No Assignment.
D Track:  Atlas 25-26 due: next year 2015
 **World Current Event due: Friday, December 19th **

Technology/Keyboarding: All 6th grade students should be keyboarding at 28 wpm net or higher. Use Typing Web at home to improve your speed and accuracy. Typing speeds are a part of your Technology grade!!!
