Homework:

Planner signed EVERY day.
Read 20 minutes every day (or 100 minutes per week).

Language Arts:  (Always bring a red pen to class.)

A C and D Tracks: Memorize Poem: "A Candle In The Night." Due: Wednesday, December 17. 100 Points. Remember to practice it Loud, Slow, and Clear.


Science:
A:  No Assignment  

C and D tracks:  Moon Phases Chart due 12/22.

Reading/Spelling
All Tracks:
EDMODO Christmas Box Assignment #1: DUE DECEMBER 17

"After reading The Christmas Box novel, what do YOU think the first gift of Christmas is?"

*Please write 4-5 paragraphs (5 sentences each paragraph) for your answer.   Make sure that you use details and vivid descriptions.  Please start each sentence with a different word like you have practiced in Mrs. Packard's writing rotation.  Do NOT start a sentence with "because"!! 

Reading "The Christmas Carol"  by Charles Dickens
Today we read Chapter 1 and worked on a Character Study and 4-square comprehension paper.  They will be due on Thursday, December 18.

All tracks: No Spelling

Math:

Every Day: Do Reflex Math until you reach the green light.
A Track:  No Assignment.  Do Think Central for Unit 5 Lessons 9, 10, 11.
C Track: Wkst. 4-5 Due: 12/16.
D Track: 5-2 DUE: Tuesday
Daily Times Test- Get them memorized!!!

Social Studies:  
Track:  22 a & b due 12/19.
C Track: No Assignment.
D Track:  Atlas 25-26 due:12/18.
 **World Current Event due: Friday, December 19th **

Technology/Keyboarding: All 6th grade students should be keyboarding at 28 wpm net or higher. Use Typing Web at home to improve your speed and accuracy. Typing speeds are a part of your Technology grade!!!
