Notes to Remember:

All students are logged on and ready to practice Reflex Math at home.

A and B track Jog-a-thon on September 4.  Let's raise an average of $25 per student!  All money raised goes toward field trips.

Homework:

Planner signed EVERY day.

Read 20 minutes every day (or 100 minutes per week).

Language Arts: WS on Figurative Language and Personification due Tuesday.

Science:   

A and B tracks need their Solar System report notes and rough draft at school.  Students will be typing their final draft in the Computer Lab this week.  The Notes and Rough draft will be turned in on Tuesday, September 2.  The Final Report is due Tuesday, September 2.  See Science page for more details.

A and B tracks:  Visual for Solar System report.  This can be anything you can show the class:  poster, model, picture, PowerPoint, Prezi, Glog, etc.  This must be on the same topic as the Solar System report.  The Visual will be done entirely at home.  The Visual is due Tuesday, September 2. 

D track:  Use Star Chart to do Star Patterns worksheet - due Tuesday, September 2.

Reading:  

Log into Edmodo, you should be in our group: BervenThomas Reading 

Reading: Ancient Civilizations Unit - 5pts Extra Credit if you log in Edmodo and tell me one thing you learned about Ancient Mesopotamia.  

Crossword and Vocabulary notecards due: Wednesday
Ancient Civilizations Vocabulary test is Thursday

Spelling: No Homework

Math:

A Track:  Worksheet 2-5 due 9/3

B Track: Worksheet 2-6 due 8/29
D Track: Worksheet 1-7 due Wednesday

Technology/Keyboarding: All 6th grade students should be keyboarding at 28 wpm or higher. Use Typing Web at home to improve your speed and accuracy.
