A, C, D Track Grade Monk Day
Wednesday, April 1st
Students will take a "vow" of silence for the day and perform acts of service as well as their regular class work.  

Please make sure to come dressed appropriately.  Your costume should be some sort of robe that falls below your knee as well as a towel or pillowcase that is over your head and safety pinned under your chin. This will be part of your Social Studies grade and so participation is mandatory.
   
 Homework:
Check your grades on Skyward and keep up with missing assignments.
Planner signed EVERY day.
Read 20 minutes every day (or 100 minutes per week).

Language Arts: (Always bring a red pen to class.)

  • A, C and D Tracks: ALL No Red Ink Online Assignments in your portfolio. Due: March 29, before 11:00 PM. 
  • Narrative Essay: "Duct Tape Saves The Day." Due: April 6. 

Science:
A Track: Study for Microorganisms test on Wednesday.

C and D Track: Food Spoilage Home Experiment. Due: March 30.  See Science page.

Reading/Spelling:
A, C, D Tracks:  Skills Test Today / Dictation Tomorrow
The Middle Ages Comprehension books (pink/yellow) #1-6 due: Thursday

Edmodo assignment due: 
Thursday, April 2.
Medieval Society Compare/Contrast Essay
Please write an essay comparing medieval society with our 2015 Utah society.  Please give examples of the different people in medieval society and what they would be compared to in our society.  Describe what jobs they had compared to what jobs we have now.  Which type of person would you like to be?  Please go into detail about the different people that made up a Medieval Society and what types of people make up our society.  You are welcome to use the worksheet we completed in class to help with ideas.



You need to write 5-7 paragraphs with 7 sentences in each paragraph. 
Make sure that each sentence starts with a different word. 
Please include details and as many interesting facts as you can find.  
You are welcome to find books from the library or look information up on the Internet to help you.

Math:

Every Day: Do Reflex Math until you reach the green light.
A Track:  start 8-9
